The diligence of our honeybees reminds me of my husband Ken. He takes care of all our fruit trees throughout the growing season making sure his spray schedule does no harm to these tiny, but essential livestock.

The last two days of hail and freezing temperatures have broken our hearts as the weather severely damaged the mayhaw, plum, pear, persimmon, blueberry and peach blooms.
Nevertheless, our muscadine and scuppernongs are unscathed and we are grateful that we have lots of fruits in our freezers.
This is just a reminder – be thankful for your food every day. Someone somewhere grew what nourishes your body.

“Whatever you have to do, work at it with all dilligence as if working for the Lord and not for men.”
Colossians 3:23
